FAQ
-
What’s the review process like? After receiving your submission, our team views your work and crafts a personalized review that focuses on storytelling, direction, performance, theme and more. We highlight both strengths and unique choices that make your film stand out in the indie space.
-
Do you review trailers or teaser clips?Typically, we focus on full-length content (shorts or features). However, if your teaser is particularly strong or part of a bigger upcoming project, we’re open to highlighting it under our “In Development” or “Coming Soon” sections.
-
Can I submit works that are already released online or at festivals?Yes! We happily review and feature films that have been released, screened at festivals, or uploaded to platforms like YouTube or Vimeo. As long as it aligns with the indie spirit, we’re interested.
-
Are there any criteria for a review or an interview? We don’t have rigid rules, but we look for originality, voice, and intent. Whether your film was shot on a phone or a RED camera, what matters to us is your story and your passion for telling it.
-
How many works can I submit at once? You may submit as many projects as you want to.
-
Who can appear for the interview?Anyone closely involved in the project - director, writer, producer, or actor - can be interviewed. We aim to dig into your creative process, background, challenges, and passion.
-
Do I get to preview the questions before the interview?Absolutely. We usually send a curated list of thoughtful questions based on your project and background. You’re welcome to respond via email.
-
Can I request an interview without a review?Yes, you can. While many creators choose both, you’re welcome to do only an interview if you prefer to talk about your journey, process, or upcoming work.
-
Can members from the film team appear for the interview?Definitely! In fact, we love speaking to multiple team members. Collaborative interviews (director + editor, or actor + writer) can give a fuller picture of the project and its making.
-
Will my film/interview be published on social media?Yes. We promote all published content across our social media channels, our website, and community networks to help your work reach a broader audience.
-
Can I request a specific date for my feature to go live?We try our best to accommodate release timing requests, especially for premieres, launches, or festival runs. Please mention this in your submission.
-
Will I get a badge or quote from the review?Yes! We often include highlight quotes from your review that you can use for posters, websites, or film festival submissions. Badges are also available upon request.
-
Can I update my film’s info after it’s published?Yes. If you need to change a link, description, or image, just drop us an email with the updated information.
-
How long does it take to get featured?Typically 7–14 days, depending on our editorial calendar and volume of submissions. We try to move faster when possible, especially for time-sensitive releases.
